Repeated me-tooism (climate change, education) & Labor deceit

As I have argued repeatedly Labor politicians are deceitful clowns.

A few weeks ago Peter Garrett announced that me-too-ism didn’t matter since Labor would tear up its promises once it got into office. He subsequently apologized and agreed he had been a dill.

Now Mike Kelly has announced that Labor will tear up its current education policies once it gets into office and reinstate Latham-style class-based warfare in education – the existing system of funding private schools was ‘a ridiculous approach to looking at the needs of schools, and we'll move away from that and get down eventually to a proper needs-based approach’. He subsequently apologized and agreed he had been a dill.

I think both Garrett and Kelly are being deceitful and that their original statements indicate their true intent.

So too does Andrew Bolt in a sprightly Herald-Sun article today. It is well worth reading and spot on.

‘….the day Rudd wins the election is the day I expect Labor's Left, in particular, to drop its who-me? smiles and start eating its leader alive'.
A great read.

And good job too. Where is the equity in giving rich fat cats tax deductions for sending their kids to fluty private schools?

Why not spend the money on improving school facilities and paying teachers a decent salary so the profession attracts the brightest and the best?

And before I am accused of being a closet communist, see how the principals of Melbourne's leading private schools responded to Howard's blatant wedge on education funding.

"Rather than offering tax cuts and rebates, the nation's political leaders should promise to spend billions improving classrooms and buildings in poorer non-government schools and across the public education system."

The fact is the Liberals and their unpaid spruikers like Harry Clarke have so poisoned the public debate that Rudd must refuse to take Howard's bait.

But the reality is that public education in this country is woefully underfunded. And it has been because of an ideological campaign by nasty people in the Liberal Party waging the culture wars. Our kids have suffered in breezy classrooms, with faulty plumbing and a lack of even the most basic facilities.

Good riddance to you greedy, selfish pricks.

No, i wouldn't call you a commie alone, anon. You're bascially a stupid dolt.

Never forget who the money belongs to and that it is being taen away through taxes.

But I guess instead of street begging you want to vote for a party that will steal it from them.

How funny that you even have your morals so loppsided.

Harry, the closer Labor comes to victory (just 10 more sleeps) the more hysterical you become.

Try to relax a little. It is very unlikely that the Rudd Government will sell your children into slavery. And I have been told that they are currently inclined not to throw all Howard supporting bloggers into a detention centre and interrogate them, just for shits and giggles.

Though you can never be sure. A Stalinist terror just might descend up you (but not me).

Though you can never be

by gingo Arry can you actually think of an example when the LEFT have had the courage or the numbers to overturn the leader particularly one who has had such a great victory.

No didn't think you could.

Harry - you shouldn't be too worried. You and I will be 're-educated' at the state's expense. When my mob eventualy get in (don't hold breath) Spiros will be 're-educated' at his own expense. :)

Sinclair, there is going to be s pecial room in a special place reserved for a special person - you!

Your re-education will consist of reading the collected works of Mark Latham, over and over and over again.

I am not kidding.

Don't forget to set your alarm for 3.59 a.m. on November 25. That way, you won't be woken by the knock on your door.

While we are on lab vs lib, how about you post a comment on Haneef and the other guy who was bullied vial liberal policy by ASIO?

You are kinda quiet on this stuff now. Could it be that you were so horrendously wrong about it that it has become embarrassing?

Harry is never wrong. He is the the Fonz of the blogosphere.

I do not think Harry Clarke is an unpaid spruiker for the Liberal Party. He is much too smart for that.

NOOOOOO. Although I have already memorised some of the words of dear former leader.

"there is no housing crisis"
"there is no education crisis"
"there is no hospitals crisis"

Does that sort of good behaviour let me sleep in to 4.05am before I'm taken away? :)
