Lunch at Chateau Harry

1 dozen fresh oysters with lemon and a side salad of tomato, lettuce, sliced kiwi fruit and orange.
2 dozen lightly-grilled, skewered prawns spiced sparingly with mixed herbs.
More than 1 glass of Yalumba Viognier 2007.

The sun outside, beating down, defeats any vague thoughts of mowing the unkempt lawn.  Golf if it cools a bit.

The upside to the downside of being back in Oz.

you ate 12 oysters and 24 prawns along with a salad? You checked your cholesterol levels recently?

It was a nice afternoon for listening to late 1960s/early 1970s Pink Floyd.

David, While in Hong Kong I bought a CD of Lovin' Spoonful 'Greatest Hits'. I'd forgotten how good John Sebastian was. Good time music.

I don't eat oysters or prawns but I do approve of The Lovin Spoonful - Summer in the City indeed.

Just got back from riding the bike up to Warbuton and back along the Rail trail.

Slow roasted Pork Rack with roasted Desiree spuds, onions, garlic, cumin, olive oil, carrots and etc will be ready when I wake up in 2 hours from snooze.

Mid-late sixties pop music like the Loving Spoonful and The Turtles also goes well on sunny afternoons too!

David, You raise nostalgia. Do you recall?

Do you believe in magic?.

Summer in the City?

Being happy together?

White Rabbit?

Remember what the doormouse said.

harry - the Turtles are/were sublime.

Happy Together is one of the all time great singles.

You do know that Flo&Eddie were part of Zappas Mothers (I saw them in Melbourne with Frank) and did the back up vocals for most of T Rex ouvre.

I have also had the luck to see Flo & Eddie as themselves live in Melbourne.

David, The Jefferson Airplane clip didn't come out - it is

White Rabbit.

Grace Slick at her ball-breaking best:

Two Heads.

The last my favourite Jefferson Airplane piece.

David, The photography appalling and lip-synched but this is a better example of why I find Grace Slick such a great 60s performer:

Two Heads.

FXH, I saw Frank Zappa at the Hordern Pavillion in Sydney twice. I am still recovering. A genius deviant.

I had a ham sandwich.
