For some fascinating blogs from youthful Iran and for descriptions of the narky, dangerous attempts of fanatics to obstruct them, take a look at today's Salon here. The dark side of the situation is emphasised here.

The situation is very dangerous for some of these young bloggers.

I love your blog, Harry. I'm an ocean scientist and tend to look at climate-related blogs. I came to yours via John Quiggin. You may have had a linear career but you obviously have a wide-ranging web of interests.

That's funny, I thought I had a Blogger identity--obviously not.
