The New York Times reports a $143 million dollar sale of modern art including the $11.7 million dollar sale of Andy Warhol's 'Small Torn Campbell's Soup Can (Pepper Pot)'. It seem's a trite expensive but Andy is FAMOUS.
I always enjoyed Andy Warhol's artwork - particularly his Elvis and Marilyn prints - and have collected books of such. I also enjoyed his foolish philosophy text 'From A to B and Back Again'. 'Wasted space is any space that has art in it' was a favourite line. I also appreciated 'The psychiatrist never called back' and 'What do I do on Saturday when my philosophy runs out'.
